Workshops @ The Bass with Eva Llarena
About the event
Bright color, unconventional materials and a spirit of experimentation shape a hands-on workshop led by Miami artist Eva Llarena at The Bass in Miami Beach. Presented Saturday, October 17, as part of the museum’s Workshops @ The Bass series, the session invites adults of all skill levels to explore creative process through material play and art-making.
Llarena is a multimedia artist whose practice spans tufting, bookmaking, painting and drawing. Raised in Miami and trained in fiber and art history at the Kansas City Art Institute, she draws on her experiences as an artist and educator to explore color, texture and the possibilities that emerge from using familiar materials in unexpected ways.
The workshop is open to adults ages 21 and older, with all materials provided. Admission is $20 for nonmembers, $10 for museum members up to the Affiliate level and free for Affiliate members and above.
