Brain Dump Under The Trees
About the event
Sometimes, your mind is not asking for another productivity system. It may simply need somewhere to place everything it has been carrying. Brain Dump Under the Trees is a gentle, facilitated outdoor reflection experience for women who feel mentally crowded by unfinished tasks, decisions, responsibilities, emotions and thoughts competing for their attention. For three unhurried hours, we will gather beneath the trees at Bishan–Ang Mo Kio Park to empty our thoughts onto paper, slow down, notice what has been consuming our energy and reconnect with what genuinely needs our attention. This is not a formal workshop, networking event or group therapy session. You do not need to arrive with a polished introduction, a personal story prepared or any journaling experience. Simply bring a notebook, a pen and whatever has been occupying your mind. What will happen during the three hours? 1. Arriving and settling in We will begin gently, with time to find a comfortable place on the picnic mats, settle into the surroundings and meet the other women without rushed or performative introductions. A simple grounding activity will help us transition out of the day’s pace and into the experience. 2. The unprompted brain dump Before receiving any reflection questions\, you will be invited to write down whatever is taking up space in your mind. It might include: Unfinished tasks and reminders Decisions you have been postponing Responsibilities you are carrying Feelings you have not had time to understand Ideas, worries or questions circling in the background Your writing does not need to be organised, insightful or beautiful. There is no correct way to do this part—and nobody will read your pages. 3.Guided reflection and clarity After emptying the mental clutter, gentle prompts will help you look at what appeared on the page with curiosity rather than criticism. We may explore: What has been taking most of your energy What feels urgent and what can wait What your mind and body may be asking for What could be simplified, delegated or supported What deserves your attention in the coming week Optional conversations There will be opportunities to talk in pairs or within the small group about the patterns and realisations you noticed. ***Sharing is always optional. You may speak, listen, reflect quietly or pass on any question. You will never be required to disclose private experiences to participate fully. The intention is not to fix one another or exchange unsolicited advice. We are creating room for thoughtful questions, attentive listening and the relief of realising that we are not the only ones carrying full lives and crowded minds. 1. Who is this for? This experience may be for you if you: • Feel as though you have too many mental tabs open • Have been functioning outwardly while feeling crowded internally • Need time to think without being interrupted or rushed • Want to understand what has been draining your energy • Enjoy reflection but do not want a rigid journaling workshop • Want meaningful female connection beyond surface-level conversation • Would appreciate a pause without having to “perform wellness” • You do not need to be experiencing a crisis or feel “overwhelmed enough” to attend. • What might you leave with? You may leave with: • A quieter and less cluttered mind • Greater clarity about what matters right now • A better understanding of what has been using your energy • One thing you can release, simplify or ask for help with • One manageable next step • A sense of connection with women navigating full lives of their own * * • Frequently asked questions Do I need journaling experience? Not at all. This is not about writing beautifully or producing perfect answers. * • Short phrases, scattered notes, lists and unfinished thoughts are all welcome. * • Will I have to share what I write? No. Your notebook remains private. You decide whether you would like to share an observation, speak generally, listen or pass. * • Is…
