Vivaldi and Me

A new film from the producers of "The Great Beauty" and "Youth". A colorful, gripping story filled with music about one of the most brilliant composers in history – Antonio Vivaldi. Venice, early eighteenth century — a city of contrasts. On one hand, wealth, art and freedom of customs, on the other strict religious institutions and clear social divisions. Cecilia (Tecla Insolia), a talented teenage violinist staying at the Ospedale della Pietà orphanage, comes under the wing of a new teacher – Antonio Vivaldi (Michele Riondino). Surrounded by his care, she begins to believe that she will manage to avoid an arranged marriage and fight for her own path.
