AUDIENCE CHOIR EVENTSing ONE DAY by Matisyahu Ever dreamed of singing at an event where the AUDIENCE BECOMES THE CHOIR? Here's your chance! WORLD SINGING DAY, CAPE TOWN, 2026. With special guest appearance by Vicky Sampson. Join The Heartsong Collective, in collaboration with Uthando SA, for a unique Audience Choir Experience. Together we'll learn and perform One Day by Matisyahu, in a fun, uplifting evening of music, connection and community. We will also sing Room for Everyone (the official World Singing Day song for 2026). No previous choir experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and love of singing. Whether you're an experienced singer or simply sing in the shower, you'll be welcomed into an inspiring musical experience where a multitude of voices can come together as one. ONE DAY by Matisyahu is the main song that we will focus on. Attendees can prepare by choosing a part that feels right for their voice, High Ladies, Low Ladies or All Men, and then listening to the mp3 part while using the Lyric sheet or corresponding score. What to expect:We will gather at the Groote Kerk where The Heartsong Collective will collaborate with our sponsored choirs to perform an opening song with soloists, Mohau Moahloli and Farrell Adams and featuring a special guest appearance by SA legend, Vicky Sampson. The Heartsong Collective will then lead the audience in singing ROOM FOR EVERYONE with the lyrics provided on a screen.The highlight of the evening is the collective learning and performance of "One Day" by Matisyahu, culminating in the recording of a video featuring all participants singing together.

ABOUT WORLD SINGING DAY World Singing Day is a global sing-along held annually on the 3rd Saturday in October. As a catalyst for positive human connection, this one day each year serves as an opportunity to celebrate our global family through the international language of music.Founded in 2012 by Colorado (USA) musician Scott Johnson, World Singing Day brings people together in their communities all around the world through the simple act of singing together.World Singing Day is not religious or political, and encourages people to put aside their differences and celebrate what we all share as human beings. ABOUT THE HEARTSONG COLLECTIVE The Heartsong Collective will be hosting this event. The choir was founded in 2023 by Lynne Poulsen and a handful of people ready to sing for change. They have since developed into a community choir embracing people from all walks of life, age groups, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds who love to sing and want to make a difference.
