[2026 Emerging Artist Support Program] Choi Eunbin Solo Exhibition 《Airborne》
About the event
■ Exhibition Introduction In the solo exhibition 《Airborne》 by artist Choi Eunbin, selected for the <2026 Emerging Artist Support Program>, air is viewed not merely as an environmental backdrop but as a material that mediates language and memory. The afterimage of language and layers of memory are unfolded through spatial and sound installations. The exhibition space consists of a circulation system centered around a ventilation system, with corridors, interior spaces, and a multi-level stepped structure. Voices, music, and noise flowing along the continuous path overlap and diffuse in the air, revealing the subtly changing density of the space along with light, wind, and faint mist. The exhibition presents moments where the body and space resonate in an invisible flow, evoking language and waves as a single memory. ■ Artist Introduction Choi Eunbin continues to reconstruct invisible values such as memory and emotion into spatial experiences through various media including video, installation, sound, and text. Her work starts from fragmented language in everyday life and moves toward perception beyond language through interaction with immaterial elements like light and vibration. The artist focuses on the points where different senses intersect in the process of passing through space via the body, exploring the 'presence' that emerges in between. Recent exhibitions include group shows 《o Collective》(2025, SSIR Collective, Seoul), 《Artience: Senses Beyond the Horizon》(2025, National Science Museum, Daejeon), and solo exhibition 《Island》(2024, Kumho Museum of Art, Seoul).
