VTS Open Play Tennis Session
About the event
**Registration process** 1. Registration will be available for adults (18+) about one week before the session date. 2. Go to VTS website to register for Open Play ([vantennis.ca/programs](https://vantennis.ca/programs)). DO NOT REGISTER ON MEETUP-- if you register on Meetup and not through our website, you will not be part of our participant list. 3. Registration will close at noon on the day of session. 4. If session is canceled due to weather or other reasons, we will announce the cancellation through Instagram the morning of session. **Schedule** * Open play event runs April until August 2026. * Exact dates will be announced monthly mainly through the VTS website, Instagram, and WhatsApp group. * NB: We will slowly be moving away from the Meetup platform and will be announcing our open play session dates as mentioned above. Follow us on **[Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/vantennissociety/)** or become an official member of the Vancouver Tennis Society **[here](https://vantennis.ca/membership)** to keep up to date with all our activities! **Rules** * If registration is full (max capacity is 4 people per tennis court), we will restrict playing time to 1 hour per 4 people. Courts are booked for 2 hours each session date, so literally first come, first serve rules will apply 😄 (showing up on time will increase your chance of playing first). * If you sign up and no-show twice then you are banned for the season. * Be respectful to everyone at the tennis courts and to the facility. * You must bring your own tennis racquet and tennis balls. * VTS session leaders will assign people to specific courts and have the authority to ask participants to leave if they do not abide by the rules and /or are not a good fit for the event(s). **Inclusivity:** * City of Vancouver park rules state that self-organized, level-based events are not allowed on public courts, so this event is not categorized by level of play. * Therefore, fully expect that people attending will be at different skill levels and be ready to play with any skill level. * Please be inclusive of everyone attending, no matter their current skill level, and especially welcome those new to the sport.
