Is this your event?About the event
Join us online or in person over four Tuesday evenings (Oct 20 to Nov 10) to explore timely wisdom from ancient teachings about meaningful living.
More than 2,500 years ago, the Buddha began his teaching with the Four Noble Truths—a simple yet profound exploration of suffering, what causes it, and the possibility of freedom from the patterns that keep us caught in it. We experience loss and change, chase after what we want, push away what we don’t want, and often find ourselves repeating the same strategies again and again.
Over four sessions, we’ll explore these teachings through meditation, contemplation, discussion, and examples drawn from our own lives, discovering how they can inform the way we relate to ourselves and others and meet the challenges and changes of everyday life.
This course is open to everyone. Whether you are a long-time Buddhist or new to the practice of meditation, you will have opportunities to explore these foundational teachings from a fresh and experiential perspective.
This class is offered both in-person and online (hybrid). No prior experience in Buddhism or meditation is required.
