A S.U.R.E. Mystery – Mission 1: The Case of the Missing Manuscript

Put on your detective cap! A rare first edition, The Final Voyage to the East, has vanished from a rare book shop. The manuscript holds the only known first-hand account of a lost expedition through Southeast Asia shortly before the Second World War.

Four suspects. One thief. Can you uncover the truth?

Step into A S.U.R.E. Mystery, NLB's four-part interactive detective mystery experience! Examine clues, question assumptions and put your critical thinking skills to the test as you solve each case using the S.U.R.E. approach: Source, Understand, Research and Evaluate.

From Saturday, 17 October to Sunday, 15 November 2026, visit our mystery puzzle installations at selected libraries, solve Mission 1 and collect a free S.U.R.E. bookmark from the installation upon completing the mission, while stocks last.
