About the event

Born from a stone, the extraordinary monkey 'Sun Wukong' becomes the king of his kind. Yet, unsatisfied with this, he acquires the art of immortality and the magical staff, Ruyi Jingu Bang, becoming a fearless being with no rival in the world. However, gradually falling into arrogance, he wreaks havoc in the Heavenly Realm. Eventually subdued by the Buddha, Sun Wukong is imprisoned beneath a rocky mountain for five hundred years. He is later freed upon meeting Xuanzang, a high monk of the Tang Dynasty. Together with Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing, he embarks on a pilgrimage to Tianzhu (India), enduring all manner of adventures and trials along the way. Directed by Park Young-il, 〈Sun Wukong〉 is Korea's fourth feature-length animated film.
