Come play Backgammon and hang out -- any level of experience welcome!
About the event
All are welcome to come join us to play (or, learn to play!) the world's greatest boardgame -- backgammon!
We've done an astounding THIRTY-TWO of these, and each one has been a hit. Come join us for some more casual Backgammon play, in Somerville's spacious Aeronaut brewery!
We're going to do it on a WEDNESDAY night, 6:30pm-9pm!
Every meetup so far has been a blast, with a mix of people totally new to Backgammon, some casual players, and a few seasoned pros! We've had over 10 meetups in the last year. At the last meetup, there were several experienced players who played phenomenally well, and also several people totally new to the game, who we welcomed into the fold!:)
As always, there was lots of switching seats and everyone playing everyone else -- which is what we love!
So please join us for our next Boston Backgammon Players Meetup, at Aeronaut Brewing in Somerville!
Whether you want to learn, want a challenge, or just want to play some low-key games, YOU are who this event is for! And if you've never played Backgammon and don't know why people would care so much that there's a Meetup for it, come and we'll show you why we love it!
Bring a board if you have one! If you don't, no worries, we'll have a bunch!
There's no cost, and no need to reserve.
My (Ben's) number is 917-254-1578. Please call if you have any trouble finding us! We may be at the tables outside Aeronaut if the weather is nice. If not, then come inside Aeronaut, turn left and look for us towards the back of the long room. Note that all the way in the back, there is a smaller space to the right (the "barrel room") with more tables. Aeronaut Brewing is surprisingly big inside... if you don't see people playing backgammon, keep looking!
See you there!
