Photographers Nanda Hagenaars and Eelco Wortman exhibit their work in the OTEC exhibition 'Defiantly real'. We live in a time where the artificial is slowly flowing into our reality. In this exhibition, we celebrate humanity in all its forms. An authenticity that reveals itself in raw emotion, unthinking moments, and pure expressions. An authenticity that will be ours forever. Location: Meterhuisje Westergas, Pazzanistraat 6, Amsterdam. Eelco Worman
Intrigued by everyday moments often overlooked by others, his documentary photographs focus on the story and details behind the people Eelco encounters, primarily in urban environments. Inspired by traditional street and film photography, he works mainly with natural light, color, form, and contrast.
Nanda Hagenaars
More than observing, more than merely a person capturing moments. Nanda Hagenaar creates worlds. With her camera in hand, she connects with her subjects and exposes their essence to show to everyone. In a striking fusion of form and line, the perfect contrast between light and shadow becomes visible.
Thom Eisenga
Winner of the photography competition
Thom is a traveler with an eye for the human soul. He discovers the world on the two wheels of his bicycle, transforming spontaneous moments along the way into intimate portraits in timeless black and white. His photographs reveal the connection between him and his subjects, making everyone want to learn more about the story behind the images of their shared moment.
