What is Contra Dancing?
Fun! Exciting. Swirling. Walking. A "Caller" will lead the dancers by calling each movement throughout the dance as the dancers progressively swirl down one end of the dance floor to the other end. ALL AGES can do it. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. You DO NOT NEED TO BRING A PARTNER. CAN COME ALONE. Super Nice Folks. Experienced Dancers will help you. You will start dancing on the first song. Great exercise. Only $7-$10 (sliding scale), seniors & students $5, for hours of dancing to really great live music - banjos, fiddles and more. Be sure to bring a bottle of water, though there is water available and a pair of smooth soled shoes to glide through the dances and protect the wooden dance floor.

COME AT 6:30 FOR DANCE LESSONS. Music and Dancing start at 7pm till 9:30pm with a 15 minute break. The dancing is continuous - once one is finished, the next one starts!

There will be Always be someone at the Check-in table to Welcome You! Feel Free to inform them that you came via Meet Up and/or this is your first Contra Dance and they will be happy to show you where to go and what to do.
Free Parking in the Lot.
