Whether you are a complete beginner who has never handled a bamboo mat or someone who has tried rolling at home and wants to refine your technique, this session is for you. We are getting together in Chicago to walk through the fundamentals of making sushi rolls from scratch. We will cover how to properly season the rice, select fresh ingredients, and get that perfect, tight roll every time. It is a casual, hands-on environment where the focus is on learning the craft and enjoying the process together.
Expect a relaxed afternoon where we share tips, troubleshoot common mistakes, and ultimately enjoy the rolls we create. We will provide all the necessary tools and ingredients, so just bring yourself and an appetite. It is a great way to meet fellow sushi enthusiasts in the city and pick up a new skill that you can easily recreate in your own kitchen later.
