Wild Remedies Workshop with Roushanna Gray and Veld & Sea - 22 August

WILD REMEDIES WORKSHOP WITH ROUSHANNA GRAY AND VELD & SEA - 22 AUGUST10:30am- 2:30pm Come and experience an immersive introduction to herbal medicine and wild remedies using indigenous fynbos plants. Through tasting, touching and crafting, you will explore how plants can be worked with as everyday medicine and create your own fynbos bitters tincture and fire cider to take home. WHAT TO EXPECT:You will arrive to a warming cup of herbal tea in the Glasshouse. We then begin by moving into an interactive talk on indigenous medicinal plants like African wormwood, wild sage, pelargonium, wild dagga, slangbos and confetti bush. We'll take our time to experience each plant through scent, touch, and taste. This will be followed by an introduction to different herbal preparations with a focus on tinctures and fire cider. Then it's time to take part in a guided herb walk through the garden to mindfully harvest plants for your own personalised fynbos bitters blend. Once back in the Glasshouse, you'll be shown how to craft your own tincture, followed by a hands on fire cider making session. We'll then close the day with a light, warming, herbal-infused lunch and botanical drinks.
