At a lying-down concert, you choose your own spot on the floor, spread out a mat or blanket, and listen to pianist Jeroen van Veen while lying down. This provides a different experience than a regular concert: you are less distracted, the music feels closer, and your body relaxes along with it.
Minimalist works by Einaudi, Glass and Pärt
The programme features compositions by Ludovico Einaudi, Philip Glass and Arvo Pärt. The three composers share a minimalist style: their music is built on repetition, simplicity and silence. Jeroen van Veen has been playing their work for years and knows the nuances of this style well.
Grote Kerk in Naarden as a backdrop
The concert takes place in the Grote Kerk in Naarden. Under the high vault, the piano sounds are given plenty of space. The atmosphere of the church enhances the music and makes listening a soothing experience. Are you interested in tickets? You can find more information about availability via the link on this page.
