RUHAN DU TOIT is an award-winning South African singer and songwriter from Pretoria.
This popular musician, with his charming, energetic stage presence and impressive four-octave voice, has made a deep mark on the local and international music industry over the past three decades, and is as much a part of Afrikaans culture as biltong and koeksister.
He grew up in Port Elizabeth, released his first solo album at the age of eleven and is particularly known for his exceptional rendition of the hit, Sound of Silence, which has already received more than 11 million views on YouTube.
Over the years, he has achieved various career highlights, including 4 singles, 27 albums, of which 6 have achieved gold, 4 platinum & 1 Diamond status, an Aitsa award in 2019, numerous radio hits, as well as performances at various major and popular music festivals, including Innibos, Afrikaansis Groot and Lexus Pop Classics.
With an extensive repertoire spanning seven languages, he has also made a name for himself internationally and has had the opportunity to share a stage with country singer Kip Moore, among others.
As a versatile musician who not only sings but also plays various instruments, he is equally comfortable during a sold-out stadium performance as around an intimate bushveld fire with select guests.
