Long story, short: Whether you're an experienced or first time voter, come start your sample ballot in great company and share the resources we all use to help inform our decisions. Study hall, but for the election!
We've all heard that voting is the most important thing that we can do as a citizen, but it's not always the most straightforward. How do I register? How do I find my sample ballot? What's a comptroller do, anyway? Why are there so many judges? What are good resources that'll help me find candidates that align with my values? Are there any new resources that I've missed?
Join us for a ballot research party to help us answer these questions together and learn from one another! All you need to bring is something to take notes on and to do research with. This can be a phone and a notepad or a laptop. Whatever works best for you!
Not one of us has a perfect answer to all of these questions, whether you've voted once or in every election you can. Wouldn't it be great if we can find the answers together?
