Join us at IWM London for a special IWM in Conversation event, focusing on Pressure, the highly anticipated cinema release starring Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon and Damian Lewis, in cinemas 9 September. The film tells one of the lesser known stories of D-Day, as Chief Meteorological Officer Group Captain James Stagg (Scott) is given the task of delivering the weather forecast that could determine the success or failure of Operation 'Overlord'. His report to to General Dwight D Eisenhower (Fraser) would shape D-Day, the Allied liberation of Western Europe. Book your ticket to a front row seat to experience history in the making. In partnership with STUDIOCANAL, IWM's Head of Public History, James Bulgin, will host Pressure's director Anthony Maras and screenwriter David Haig in conversation on IWM London's roof terrace, where they will discuss the history behind the film and the importance of bringing James Stagg's story into the public consciousness. Following the talk, have your questions answered before enjoying a private evening viewing of IWM London's Second World War Galleries. Go deeper into the events behind the film. From 21 August 2026 to 11 April 2027, HMS Belfast will be displaying rarely seen objects, historic documents and eyewitness testimonies, revealing the true story behind Group Captain Stagg's report. Entry to Pressure: The D-Day Decision is included with your ticket to HMS Belfast. Adults £20
