REC Instituto leads an artistic residency titled Dramaturgias do Vestígio: Corpo, Território e Memória from 10–13 August, Mondays to Thursdays, 14h–18h at Casa de Teatro Mariajosé de Carvalho in Ipiranga, preceding the 7th Mostra de Teatro de Heliópolis (15–22 August 2026). Free applications run 21–31 July via forms shared on @mostraheliopolis and @ciadeteatroheliopolis. Directed by Hercules Morais and Angela Ribeiro (dramaturgy) and Paulo Victor Gandra (somatic research), the 20-participant residency explores creative methods from the performance Republikkk ou Encruzilhada Não É Beco, examining how memory, testimony, imagery, rhythm and territorial experience become scenic material. Drawing from research in rural Goiás communities and Manaus covid-19 burial sites, participants investigate traces and narratives of their own territory, developing a collective scenic-processual synthesis. Open to theater, dance, performance and music students, artists, and those interested in scenic creation processes, regardless of prior experience. Organized by Companhia de Teatro Heliópolis and MUK Productions, with curation by Alexandre Mate and Dalma Régia, artistic direction by Miguel Rocha and production direction by Daniel Gaggini, the festival was funded through São Paulo State Cultural Incentive Notice ProAC no 092025, Creative Economy: Support for Exhibitions, Festivals and Events, from the State Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries.
