💎 Discover the Women Behind Some of San Francisco’s Historic Architecture! 💎 Join architect Martin Bernstein for another fun and fascinating 1.5-hour architectural walking tour, this time exploring historic Cow Hollow, Pacific Heights, and Presidio Heights through the work of pioneering women architects. At a time when architecture was overwhelmingly a man’s profession, women including Emily Williams, Elizabeth Austin, and Julia Morgan were quietly leaving their mark on San Francisco. We’ll discover some of the beautiful homes and buildings they designed—and the fascinating stories of the women behind them. As we make our way from Cow Hollow toward Presidio Heights, Martin will point out architectural details you might otherwise walk right past and share the history, personalities, and stories that bring these buildings to life. Expect plenty of those signature “I never noticed that before!” moments along the way! --------------------------------- 📍 Starting Point: 2700 Union Street, San Francisco (corner of Union & Broderick Sts) 🕜 Starting Time: 1:30 PM sharp — please arrive a few minutes early so we can begin on time. 🚶‍♀️ Tour Length: Approximately 1.5 hours.
