About the event

NEW MEMBERS or 1st TIME EVENT GO-ERS Before attending your first event, please take a moment to understand how our dinners work and what we ask of members. → [Learn how DC Metro Dining works](https://tinyurl.com/Landing-Page-DC-Metro-Dining) RSVP CUTOFF (i.e. Final Change Your Mind if Registered YES) → RSVP Cancellation Cutoff for this Event is Saturday 10a, 9/5. (Late Cancel applies after this, repeat occurrences can impact membership) *** Summer Restaurant Week [RW] is back in DC!: → Learn more about DC Restaurant Week: [https://www.ramw.org/restaurantweek/](https://www.ramw.org/restaurantweek/) Bistro Cacao offers three Restaurant Week dinner pricing tiers: $40 / $55 / $65. The tier depends on the entrée selected: • $40 tier = $52.00 minimum floor after DC's 10% tax and required 20% gratuity. • $55 tier = $71.50 minimum floor after DC's 10% tax and required 20% gratuity. • $65 tier = $84.50 minimum floor after DC's 10% tax and required 20% gratuity. → These are the bare minimum pricing floors for each tier. Drinks, premium items, Restaurant Week upcharges, additional food, coffee, cocktails, wine/beer, or other extras will increase the final bill accordingly. → By attending this event, each member agrees to participate using the Restaurant Week menu and the designated Restaurant Week price point(s). *** SPECIAL RULE for RSVPing to ANY RESTAURANT WEEK EVENT: Lol, rule waived for this Restaurant Week period.;) *** HIGH FIDELITY: We're heading to Bistro Cacao in Capitol Hill for another Restaurant Week dinner where the restaurant gets the concept right. Like TOSCA and Cordelia Fishbar, Bistro Cacao gives diners a substantial menu with meaningful choices rather than stripping the experience down to a few inexpensive selections. The three-tier approach is particularly interesting. Rather than forcing everyone into the same price point, Bistro Cacao ties the $40, $55, and $65 options to the cost of the entrée. You get to decide how much you want to spend based on what you want to eat. FOOD: Bistro Cacao serves modern French cuisine in a classic neighborhood-bistro setting. Recent diners have continued to highlight dishes such as scallops, beef Wellington, steak frites, mushroom preparations, steak tartare, and crème brûlée. Current restaurant favorites also include mushroom ravioli with truffle essence, bouef bourguignon, blackened salmon, and steak frites. The restaurant's French onion soup, escargots, mussels, and desserts also receive frequent praise. The Restaurant Week menu offers substantial choice across three price levels, which is exactly why we're including Bistro Cacao in the High Fidelity series. You don't have to choose the most expensive tier to have a legitimate Bistro Cacao experience. The $40, $55, and $65 options give members room to choose based on appetite and preferences while still experiencing the restaurant's French cooking. → Explore Bistro Cacao's Restaurant Week menu (PDF): *[https://www.bistrocacao.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/BC-RW-Dinner-2026.pdf](https://www.bistrocacao.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/BC-RW-Dinner-2026.pdf)* All attendees must opt into the Restaurant Week menu and pricing. Any upcharged items, supplemental food, or additional beverages are extra and subject to applicable tax and gratuity. SPACE: Bistro Cacao is one of Capitol Hill's more intimate and romantic restaurants, occupying a townhouse-style space with velvet curtains, warm lighting, vintage French touches, and multiple dining areas. The restaurant is known for its cozy booths and intimate upstairs seating, with a first-floor bar and patio adding some variety to the experience. The atmosphere is known being as romantic and intimate, while recent diners consistently praise the setting alongside the food and service. For a Saturday evening, expect a lively but still conversation-friendly neighborhood-bistro atmosphere. → Visit the restaurant site:…
