About the Event
As children grow into adulthood, family roles and relationships naturally change. Conversations that were once easy may become more difficult, and differences in expectations, communication styles or priorities can sometimes lead to misunderstandings or emotional distance.
This session helps older adults discover simple and practical ways to communicate with their adult children, express their care and feelings, and have more meaningful heart-to-heart conversations. It encourages seniors to take small, positive steps to strengthen family connections and maintain close and supportive relationships across generations.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session, participants will:
• Understand why heart-to-heart conversations become more important as their children grow into adulthood.
• Learn simple and practical ways to start meaningful conversations with their adult children.
• Recognise the importance of expressing love, appreciation and care openly, rather than assuming their children already know.
Gain confidence in communicating their thoughts and feelings in ways that encourage mutual understanding and connection.
This programme is suitable for seniors.
