Vancouver UFO Meetup: Whistleblowers — What Should We Believe?
About the event
In person Meetup. Who are the UFO whistleblowers, and how much should we believe their testimony?
Over the years, military personnel, intelligence officials, government employees, and other individuals have come forward with extraordinary claims about UFOs, recovered technology, secret programs, and encounters with non-human intelligence. Some claim firsthand knowledge. Others report information they received from people working within classified programs. But when physical evidence is unavailable, how do we distinguish credible testimony from speculation, misinformation, or mistaken interpretation?
Join us for an open discussion exploring:
• What makes a UFO whistleblower credible? • How should we evaluate firsthand testimony versus secondhand information? • What can military and intelligence backgrounds tell us about a witness's reliability? • How do we assess claims of UFO crash retrievals and reverse-engineering programs? • What role should corroborating witnesses, documents, and physical evidence play? • Why might someone come forward with extraordinary information? • How should we respond when a witness makes claims that cannot be independently verified? • Can multiple independent testimonies establish a credible pattern? • What are the dangers of dismissing testimony too quickly—or believing it too readily?
We'll discuss notable whistleblowers and their claims, including the broader questions raised by figures such as David Grusch and other individuals who have spoken publicly about alleged secret UFO programs.
No prior knowledge is necessary. Whether you're a longtime UFO researcher, a newcomer, or simply curious about the subject, you're welcome.
This is a participant-driven discussion. Bring your questions, opinions, personal experiences, and a healthy dose of critical thinking. The central question: When extraordinary claims are made without publicly available physical evidence, what should it take for us to believe them? We look forward to seeing you!
