Makertime for families: Halloween Sphero Robot Maze 8-12yrs
About the event
Do you want to come and learn in our makerspace at Darling Square Library with your children? Join this 2-hour session to get hands-on experience with our maker kits, microscopes, marble-run, wind-tube, electronics and robotics kits. Our October session focuses on Halloween fun designing and making a scary Sphero robot maze! We will collaborate to build an obstacle course and navigate it using fun, block-based coding. Our facilitators will guide your child as they explore the exciting world of robotics. Each month, we’ll introduce you to a series of fun projects designed to develop your creative thinking skills. You could learn some basic coding to use a Sphero robot, or build simple circuits. Explore our Little Bits wall or complete a basic laser cutting project by etching a design onto plywood or acrylic.
