Mid-Autumn Mindful Tea & Mooncake Tasting | English Book Club
About the event
How do we find direction in a rapidly changing world? As AI becomes increasingly part of our lives, we may have more technology and more possibilities — yet questions about who we are, what gives life meaning, and where we are heading remain. This Sunday, as we celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, we’ll take some time to slow down, share tea and mooncakes, and explore these questions together. 🍵 Mindful Tea Experience We’ll begin with a simple Mindful Chan Tea practice, using tea as a way to slow down and reconnect with the present moment. 🥮 Mid-Autumn Mooncake Tasting We’ll also share and taste mooncakes together — a simple way to celebrate the festival and enjoy the occasion as a community. 📖 English Book Discussion Inspired by The Importance of Understanding Human Nature and the Human Mind, we’ll explore questions such as: • In the age of AI, what does it mean to be human? • Why do uncertainty and anxiety remain even as technology advances? • Can looking inward help us better understand ourselves and our future? • What role can wisdom play in shaping the way we live? This is an open English gathering where people from different backgrounds can share perspectives, enjoy tea and mooncakes, and reflect on life together. 🌿 Mindful Chan Tea 🥮 Mooncake tasting 💬 English discussion 🌕 Mid-Autumn gathering 🎟 Free admission 📅 Sunday, September 27 ⏰ 3:00–5:00 PM 📍 Unit 903, 9/F, Hanley House, 776–778 Nathan Road, Prince Edward, Kowloon No previous experience with mindfulness or Buddhism is needed.
