Uma Obra III: Painting Without End

Since 2021, the Pinacoteca's Educational Action has developed Uma Obra in this museum space. This edition prioritizes a special audience: children. Artist Gui Teixeira, invited to the project, integrates art and education in his practice, exploring play and invention through collective actions involving construction and rearrangement with diverse materials, such as large assembly games. Painting Without End emerges from this collaboration. The artist proposes an open experience grounded in how we discover our surroundings—through interaction and creation. Though designed for children, it is artwork for everyone. Functioning as a space for collective creation, it invites participants to arrange colored felt pieces on a large wooden wall covered with carpet, creating figures and forms in a painting that continuously transforms.
