Starting Tuesday, 13 October, join master painter Rein Schoondorp for a six-week portrait painting course.
During this course, you will learn step by step how to paint an expressive portrait in oil, using a reference photograph of your own choice. This can be a photograph of yourself, someone else, or any portrait or image that inspires you.
From the first sketch to the final layers of paint, Rein will guide you throughout the process with personal attention and practical demonstrations. You will explore classical painting techniques while learning about colour, composition, light, shadow and brushwork.
Whether you are a complete beginner or already have painting experience, curiosity and a willingness to explore are more important than technical skill. Throughout the course, you will have space to develop your own way of working and discover your personal artistic style.
