Saturday 29/08 (Information and tickets through the Collective's official blog: costurahisterica.blog) From 9am to 12pm – Lectures: - "170 19th century shirts: A garment that endures for hundreds of years" with Paulo Samu - "Recreate, Reuse, Reconstruct": historical reuse and reconstruction with Tamara Mattos - "Preventive Conservation of the Textile Collection of Vera Cruz Cinematographic Company (1949 – 1954): A detailed study of seven costumes from the film "Tico – Tico no Fubá" with Isabela Porto de Oliveira From 2pm to 5pm – Workshops: - "Brief history of Embroidery in Brazil + stitches for beginners" with Bruna de Moraes - "Material culture in Jane Austen's work through the English Paper Piecing method" with Dr. Natália Barcellos Sunday 30/08 (Free event open to the general public) from 10am to 5pm - Community picnic, Historical costume parade and contest for handmade costumes, Free baroque dance workshop, Bingo with prizes provided by the Collective's supporting brands.
