Performance Coelho Branco - Alice Yura

Part of the Alice Yura: um ato fotográfico exhibition, this performance explores themes central to the show: photography as a practice of encounter, memory construction and activation, and the creation of personal narratives through images. By bringing procedures from her artistic research into public space, Alice transforms the act of sharing images and stories into a collective, participatory experience. For an afternoon, Alice Yura occupies Praça da Pina Contemporânea seated at a round table with three chairs open to visitors. Through tea and small gestures of hospitality, she establishes a space for exchange grounded in listening. Using a personal photograph album, Alice facilitates conversations that move through memories, stories and experiences, activating narrative as relational practice. Positioned between casual encounter and performance, the action creates a space for slowing down and attention to others, where images, recollections and affects circulate among strangers, continuously transformed through dialogue.
