Creative Movement: The Experience

Breathwork, somatic movement, yoga and meditation come together in a guided outdoor practice at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Held Tuesday, October 6, the session uses the garden setting as part of the experience, encouraging participants to slow down, move with awareness and reconnect with the body through rhythm and breath.
Led by fitness and movement instructor Ashli Katz, the program begins with grounding breathwork before moving into fluid somatic exercises and accessible yoga. The practice then transitions into meditation and stillness, with participants encouraged to respond to the garden’s sounds, textures and natural surroundings rather than focus on performance.
Katz brings more than a decade of experience in fitness, drawing on a background in dance, rhythm, movement and breath. Participants should bring a yoga mat, water and a towel or light covering for meditation and rest.
