This Month’s Topic: What Lies Beyond? Life After Death— Belief, Scepticism, and the Evidence
*Belief in life after death is one of the oldest and most universal features of human culture, and yet it remains deeply contested. In this talk, Nuphar surveys the landscape of the debate: why do so many people — across cultures and throughout history — hold to the conviction that consciousness survives physical death? What philosophical traditions support this view, and what does the available evidence actually demonstrate? She also takes seriously the sceptical position, examining what neuroscience and materialist philosophy say about the self, the brain, and what happens when the body dies. A thought-provoking evening for pagans, sceptics, and everyone in between.*
Pub Moots will generally be held on the 4th Wednesday of every month. Sometimes there will be exceptions based on what is going on, so make sure to check back here on Meetup for the exact information
All are welcome- experienced practioners, newbies, merely curious, Wiccans and Wiccan-curious and practitioners of similar traditions and those who have no idea why they want to come but just do and even those who don't know a thing but simply like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings and suchlike...:-)

Attendance is free but you will need to buy something at the pub.:-)
