Writing Workshop: On Writing Memories
About the event
A writing workshop for adults What is memory and where does it reside? Is it in the present or in the past? And who experiences it, and when? An I or a she/he? Let's try writing memories together; you don't need to know anything in advance, just have the desire to explore it. The workshop is held by Trisse Gejl Trisse Gejl is an author who debuted with the novel: "Hvor mælkebøtter gror" in 1995 and has since published a number of novels. She broke through in 2006 with the novel: " Patriarken", which was nominated for the Weekendavisens Litteraturpris and the DR-romanprisen. In 2008 "Skjul" was published and in 2011 "Siden blev det for pænt", which was also nominated for the DR-romanprisen. Practical info The writing workshop takes place in the library room at Nørrebro Bibliotek. Participation is free but requires registration on Billetto. You must bring your own supplies for the writing exercises. There will likely be a theater-style seating arrangement, so you will need to sit with your computer/tablet/paper on your lap. If you plan to use electronics, please note that it is not possible to charge them during the session. It may therefore be beneficial to choose paper and pen for the writing exercises. Do you have questions? Write to librarian Pia at: piolss@kk.dk Writing workshops at Copenhagen Libraries Copenhagen Libraries invites you to writing workshops all over the city.
