There is something timeless about the 108 Traditional Yang Style form...
**It is a form that asks us to slow down, return, remember, and continue.**The 108 does not reveal itself all at once. It unfolds gradually, inviting each student to meet the practice in their own way.
Each student comes to the 108 with a different body, a different memory, a different pace, and a different reason for continuing. Some will remember the sequence quickly; others will need more repetition, more patience, and more time. That is part of the beauty of this journey. We are not climbing the hill alone. We are learning together, supporting one another, and discovering that the 108 is not only a long Tai Chi form — it is a shared practice of steadiness, encouragement, and quiet perseverance, one step at a time.
This long-established sequence has been practised for generations — its movements spacious, circular, and refined through decades of embodied wisdom. This is an opportunity to continue to explore more and reconnect with the roots of Yang Style Tai Chi. This Wednesday afternoon class has been ongoing since April 2026 and is now continuing into the next stage of the form. During the September–December session, students will focus on Section 2 of the 108, building on the foundation established in Section 1. If the group progresses comfortably and the pace of learning allows, we may also begin moving into Section 3.
