Talk 2: Beyond the Platform: co-creating better childcare access [Clementina Gentile](https://www.linkedin.com/in/clementinagentile/), Service Designer @ Digitaal Vlaanderen
Childcare access in Flanders is fragmented across municipalities, providers, local service desks, IT platforms and the Flemish childcare authority. This creates inconsistent experiences for parents, administrative burdens for professionals and unreliable data on unmet demand.
In this project, Opgroeien, Digitaal Vlaanderen and VBJK used a co-creative service design approach to explore how the entire system could work better. Through research, stakeholder workshops and iterative scenario development, they redesigned both the parent-facing journey and the underlying data exchange, governance and technical architecture. The talk will show how systemic co-creation can align diverse stakeholders, balance local autonomy with Flemish-wide coordination, and create more inclusive and sustainable public services. ------------------------------- \#\#\# SCHEDULE 18:00 - Doors open.
