Join me for a scenic fitness hike along the Delaware River. We will start in South Philadelphia then make our way along the path by the waterfront up over the Ben Franklin Bridge and back. Then continue if we are short on miles up the trail under the bridge to other views of the Delaware. Then we will make our way back.
This is a hike with all pavement and great views. My husband and I love to come here with our bikes. Pace will be 3.0 to 3.4 miles per hour or 16 to 20 minute mile. If you can manage over 3 miles in less than an hour you will be fine.
Use 1675 S Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA, 19148 for GPS. Park in the back of the lot closest to the Delaware River.
There are bathrooms at Walmart and Planet fitness (if you are a member) at the start. There is also a bathroom 1 mile from start.
No scheduled food breaks. There are places to eat afterwards if you choose to do so. Very close to John's roast pork which is the best cheesesteak in South Philly.
Meet at the parking area at 745 am. I have long blonde hair in a braid. I will be in a red Toyota rav4 with superbowl stickers. I start on time so we will leave at 8am sharp.
