Barcelona Climate Week Closing Event

(Catalan and Spanish below) Join us to close out the inaugural Barcelona Climate Week together with our key partners, sponsors, and community leaders for a closing keynote and panel: — Cristina Castells, Director of Energy & Environmental Quality at Barcelona City Council will give a 10 min. keynote about the state of Barcelona's energy transition. — "Powering a Shared Future: Where Spain's Energy Transition Goes Next" — A panel featuring Sergi Nuss Girona of Renovem-nos, Giacomo Bravaccini of Flexidao, and moderated by Mark Nabong of Monotreme Consulting. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and the program will begin at 6:30. After the panel's Q&A, we'll be meeting folks at Garage Beer to continue the conversation and celebrate the final day of Barcelona Climate Week! This closing panel brings together four vantage points: energy regulation, the companies whose demand shapes how clean power gets built, agrivoltaics that let the same land yield both food and solar power, and civil society pressing for a faster rollout of renewables with public participation and environmental safeguards. Together they will explore what it takes to grow solutions in Barcelona that travel far beyond it, how local companies and multinationals operating in Catalunya can help close the region's renewable gap, how current and upcoming rules will change what they buy, and what they can already do while both new generation and new demand wait for grid capacity. After a week of conversations in neighbourhoods across the city, Barcelona Climate Week closes on the question running through all of them: how we finish the work of building a more livable future, one that no longer…
