Caribbean music, masquerade bands and Carnival pageantry take center stage in Greater Miami and Miami Beach on Sunday, October 11, when the Miami Carnival Parade & Concert closes out the 2026 festival. The broader Miami Carnival celebration runs October 3-11, with several lead-up events taking place in Broward County before the main Miami-Dade parade and concert. The annual celebration draws thousands of attendees for live music, traditional costumes, island cuisine and family-friendly cultural programming. What to Expect at the 2026 Miami Carnival Parade The 42nd edition of Miami Carnival, presented by the Miami-Broward One Carnival Host Committee, showcases Caribbean culture through immersive experiences, live performances and a high-energy roster of family-friendly events. Recognized as one of North America's largest and most influential Caribbean cultural celebrations, Miami Carnival attracts more than 100,000 attendees annually from the U.S., Caribbean, Europe and beyond. The fun-filled festival features everything from the hypnotic rhythms of steelpan and soca to the vibrant pageantry and storytelling of masquerade bands. Throughout the festival, attendees can enjoy a lively Caribbean Food Village featuring authentic island cuisine from across the region, a diverse marketplace of arts and craft vendors, cultural exhibits and interactive activations that celebrate the traditions and heritage of the Caribbean. Families will also find engaging activities designed to make the weekend memorable for kids and adults alike. The highlight of the weekend will once again be the Sunday parade and concert, when masquerade bands will deliver the vibrant colors, artistry, creativity and energy synonymous with Miami Carnival. The Main Event: Miami Carnival Parade of Bands & Concert On Sunday, October 11, the highlight and culmination of the weekend is the Miami Carnival Parade & Concert, in which 20 masquerade bands will lead an unforgettable celebration of Caribbean music, dance and culture, complete with spectacular costume presentations, live entertainment and the second-to-none spirit of Carnival. While the concert lineup is still being finalized, the music of the day is not to be missed. Carnival band members always join in the jubilee by wearing masks, statement costumes and plenty of colorful accents to further elevate the day. Parade-goers are encouraged to not only dress for the fest, but to interact with the masquerade bands: jump, dance and join the merriment to get the full experience. Tickets General admission tickets start at $39.28 for the Parade only, while tickets for the Parade & Concert start at $65.90. Upgrade to the Parade & Concert VIP Experience for $215, which includes free VIP parking. Ticket prices are expected to increase leading up to the event. How to Join the Carnival festivities before Miami’s Main Event Taking place on Saturday, October 3 at Central Broward Park, Junior Carnival aims to introduce the customs of mas (masquerade) and Carnival to the next generation. With the goal of encouraging kids to discover their potential through artistry, dance and community, Junior Carnival participants will have the chance to enter the Band Competition, Junior Steel Competition, Junior Soca Competition and the Junior King and Queen competition to round out the day. The Pan Jamboree kicks off at Central Broward Park on Friday, October 9, where the beautiful sounds of steelpan will resonate off the oil barrel. The instrument itself holds a lot of history, adding to its soul-soothing sound. The J'ouvert returns to Central Broward Park on Saturday, October 10, where revelers can expect the paint, powder, music and unmatched energy that have made this one of the most anticipated events of the Carnival weekend.
