Regular Lynn Canyon Park Hiking

Join us for a relaxing hike and language exchange at beautiful Lynn Canyon Park in North Vancouver!

We will explore the forest trails, cross the famous Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, visit scenic areas such as Twin Falls and the 30 Foot Pool, and enjoy conversations in English and Japanese along the way.

This is a friendly social event for people who want to enjoy nature, meet new people, and practice languages in a relaxed atmosphere. Beginners and first-time participants are very welcome!

Event Details

📍 Meeting Point: In front of Lynn Canyon Café / Ecology Centre 🥾 Difficulty: Beginner-friendly to moderate 🕒 Estimated Duration: Approximately 2–3 hours

Please arrive on time so that we can begin the hike together as a group.

What We Will Do

• Explore Lynn Canyon’s forest trails • Cross the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge • Visit Twin Falls and the 30 Foot Pool area • Practice English and Japanese • Meet new people • Take photos and enjoy nature • Take breaks and walk at a comfortable group pace

Optional Dinner After the Hike 🍽️

After the hike, those who are interested are welcome to join us for dinner together!

We will likely go somewhere in Downtown Vancouver or North Vancouver, depending on the group size and everyone’s preference.

Dinner is completely optional, so feel free to join only the hike.

Each participant will be responsible for their own food and drinks.

It will be another great opportunity to relax, continue our conversations, and get to know each other after the hike!

What to Bring

• Comfortable hiking or walking shoes • Water • Snacks or a light lunch • Weather-appropriate clothing • Sunscreen and a hat, if needed • A swimsuit and towel if you plan to enter the water • A change of clothes, if needed

Water Safety Notice

Lynn Canyon Park does not have a lake. We may visit the 30 Foot Pool area along Lynn Creek.

Entering the water is completely optional and entirely at your own risk. Swimming is not an organized or supervised part of this event.

The water can be extremely cold, and currents and water levels may change unexpectedly. There is no lifeguard on duty.

Please follow all posted safety signs, do not cliff-jump, and do not enter the water unless you are confident that the conditions are safe.

• This is a social community event, not a professionally guided hiking tour. • Please stay with the group and follow the organizers’ instructions. • Please respect other participants, park visitors, wildlife, and the natural environment. • Participation is at your own risk. • Please do not leave any garbage behind. • Trails may be wet, muddy, slippery, or uneven. • The route may be adjusted depending on trail conditions, weather, and the group’s pace. • The event may be cancelled or rescheduled in case of severe weather or unsafe conditions.

ハイキング後のディナー 🍽️

ハイキング終了後、希望者で一緒にディナーに行きましょう！

参加人数や皆さんの希望を見ながら、Downtown VancouverまたはNorth Vancouver周辺のお店に行く予定です。

ディナーへの参加は完全に自由ですので、ハイキングだけの参加でももちろん大丈夫です。

飲食代は各自でのお支払いとなります。

ハイキングの後も、ゆっくりご飯を食べながら会話を楽しみ、さらに交流を深めましょう！
