Friday Lates takeover: CTRL+CREATE: Homecoming
About the event
Join us for a Friday Late in the Roden Centre for Creative Learning developed by the CTRL+CREATE 2026 cohort. Homecoming is an immersive creative experience that turns the National Gallery into a shared home. We invite visitors to explore what home, belonging and community mean to them. Each room is reimagined as a familiar space: from the entrance to the living room to the bedroom. We’ve turned a private domain public whilst maintaining its emotional safety, showing that home is not really the physical space, but a feeling. Rather than presenting a single way of home, visitors contribute their own stories and perspectives. Making the experience one that is collectively shaped, and yet personally felt. Just like Home. Inspired by the ‘ Waldmüller: Landscapes ’ exhibition, this event invites audiences into an evolving programme of ideas, experiences and creative experimentation.
