Reiwa 8 Osaka Lecture Series: Reading Classical Documents - 6 Sessions Central Library Overview
This lecture focuses on deciphering cursive script and learning the fundamentals of classical documents, while also briefly covering Osaka's history.
・Instructor's Comment
In the 1810s, one of Japan's smallest daimyo families from the northern Kanto region planned to manage a warehouse storehouse in Osaka but failed. The circumstances of this venture were preserved in classical documents of a family that operated an agarwood shop in Hirano-cho, 3-chome. Based on these documents, we will introduce the management strategy of this small domain.
