In the round chapel in Beatrix Park, you will now find Circus Odesa, a new cultural venue. During 24 uur Zuid, you can join a guided tour of the building. Also, view the exhibition by Ukrainian artists or participate in one of the cooking workshops, such as a fermentation workshop. This way, you will get to know Ukrainian cuisine better.
Learn about the history of the chapel
The round chapel in the Beatrixpark was built in the early 1960s as part of the Sint-Nicolaaslyceum and a convent. Now, Circus Odesa is coming to the chapel: the Regenboog Groep is creating a meeting place here for Ukrainians and Amsterdammers. It is a place for culture, performances, and activities.
During a guided tour, you will learn more about the chapel's history and the changes the building has undergone. You can also view an exhibition by a collective of Ukrainian artists or get to know Ukrainian cuisine better at one of the cooking workshops, such as a fermentation workshop.
