Building with AI in Mental Health and Social Work

What could you build with AI to make your work a little easier, solve a problem, or explore an idea? Whether you're figuring out how AI could support your work in mental health or social work, or already have something you're building, come spend an evening learning, tinkering and building alongside others. We'll start by getting to know who's in the room, what people are working on, and where we might be able to help one another. From there, choose how you'd like to spend the evening: New to building with AI?

Already building?

We'll come back together at the end to share what we tried, what we learnt, and where we might need help next. You don't have to be technical to contribute. If you work in mental health or social work, your experience and understanding of the domain can be just as valuable to someone building as knowing how to code. Please note: Claude credits will not be provided for this session. Participants joining the beginner track should come with their own Claude account. More complex building may require access to a paid plan.

Important Notes Bring a laptop with internet access. All experience levels are welcome. You don't need to know how to code or have an existing project to join. Joining the beginner track? Please come with your own Claude account ready to use. Claude credits will not be provided. Some more complex building may require access to a paid plan. Already working on something? Bring it along. You'll have time to continue building, troubleshoot and find others who may be able to help.

More About the Series Gotong Royong is a traditional Malay concept whereby people living in a kampong (village) do things together and help each other in the spirit of goodwill and reciprocity. This series brings that spirit to Lorong AI as we create regular opportunities for the Lorong AI community to tackle challenges collectively. When we learn, troubleshoot and build together, everyone progresses faster. Get involved: Lorong AI | Speaker Sign-up…
