La Mercè Piromusical The time has come to say goodbye, but it is a sweet farewell, as Barcelona’s annual city festival comes to a close with one of its most popular and well-attended events. This year brings a change, as the La Mercè Pyromusical will take place on Nova Icària Beach instead of its traditional location on Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina. As in recent years, the 2026 La Mercè Pyromusical highlights local talent through an author-curated show featuring a soundtrack selected by a guest artist. On this occasion, Josep Montero, lead singer of Oques Grasses, has chosen the songs that will make up the show’s playlist, creating an eclectic selection open to a variety of styles and sensibilities. The musical mix has been produced by sound designer and audio engineer Marçal Cruz, from Oido Studio, while Pirotècnia Igual will be responsible for designing the fireworks display, which will be launched in synchronization with the music. To get to Nova Icària Beach, it is recommended to use the metro service (L4, Ciutadella | Vila Olímpica) and bus routes H16, V23, V25 and V27. The recommended car parks for vehicles are BSM Marina Port or BSM Hospital del Mar. Duration: 30 min.
