Awakening the Witchblood series with Griffin & Carrie (HYBRID)

This year: Leaning into the Cunning Arts of the Cunning Folk to make a world we can live with, not just exist with but solutions we can thrive with!

This is a popular yearly Series where we explore the deeper, more advanced, personal initiate type work of Traditional Witchcraft. The premise being that within the Witch is a born predisposition, what in the old world was called ‘The Gifts’. These are the nature born qualities that has made witches a target by mainstream religion and society throughout history. As these ‘gifts’ lend us the liberty of seeing the world outside the box, so to speak. We are by nature Artists of Spirit, and armed with such an Art of Witchery we can be co-creative in our cosmos, shaping reality where needed. This is what is known as the Witch-blood, which in most old world religions was recognized as those of part spirit, part human lineage.

Although born into this heretical state of questioning everything, many of us unfortunately are forced into compliance by society or even family members. Ending with us denying our gifts and nature so we can better fit in with what is deemed ‘normal’ folks! Then as adults, finding that the normal world left us feeling like something was missing within us, some find their way to the Craft and so begins the process of awakening the Witch-Blood to it’s full potential! Something that takes many years and without the help of others, not an easy path to follow.

Each year we look at our inherent gifts with a focus of how to lean into them and strengthen them, as tools to deal with the crazy world we have to deal with around us. Making the Craft and our ‘gifts’ practical tools to apply towards solving the problems of our immediate world. A different angle and focus each year, as witches tend to take this series year after year. This year we are truly leaning into the Witch-blood ‘gifts’ as we take on some of the reservations man of us struggle with that truly are born of the profane world we find ourselves having to navigate. To be a Cunning Woman or Man, the Cunning Folk, was an old world term for Witches, that has picked up some negative baggage. Alas as is so often the case, we feel the pressure to white wash and walk away from the more potent aspects of our old ways, because mainstream finds them threatening or unpalatable. This year we are exploring this area of the Craft, because enough it enough, and we are done with waiting for the world to get over itself! It’s time to clear out the clutter between our ears and take a fresh look at who we are and what we hold, when we are not trying to fit in with the so called normal world!

This Series will work with terminology and Witchcraft Traditional forms that students have been exposed to in earlier classes. This is not for beginners. If you think you can hang without prior classes, reach out and make your case to Carrie. She will steer you true. No one wants you to spend hard earned dollars on a series you may not be able to get much from. We do many other series you can check out and swing back around next year. We have been doing this series every year for over ten years. We are not going anywhere!

***This series includes a Vision Quest each week. Whether on Zoom or in person, please come prepared to be comfortable for that. Also, this is the one series each year where grounding snacks may be necessary. Please bring snacks to share.***
