About the Event
Knuckles & Notch, a creative studio and Risograph press, brings you a 2-hour talk on thinking in layers.
They will be unpacking how analogue printing works and all the little quirks that make risograph printing unique. They will also chat about small-scale publishing, the pleasures and pain of running a creative studio and risograph press, and why print processes such as this still matter in a world where digital has become the default.
Come rethink how we make art, and how analogue and digital can exist alongside each other.
About the Speaker
Established in 2013, Knuckles & Notch is a creative studio and Risograph press based in Singapore known for their wildly colourful and often bizarre aesthetic. Their love for art-making is rooted in the inimitable charm of the analogue medium.
They believe in the unique quality of the hands-on process, where novel ways of working creates a stronger understanding between creators and their audience. In that spirit, they persist in creating art through analogue means while continually exploring innovative ways to marry traditional mediums with our ever-changing contemporary landscape.
