Workshop Wednesday - Navigating Wild Waters with Ryan Stramrood
About the event
Ryan Stramrood is a globally recognised extreme endurance athlete, four-time Guinness World Record holder, and one of the world’s leading speakers on resilience, performance, and pushing beyond perceived limits. He is a master on stage and, in a unique way, draws deep parallels between high-performance sport and high-performance business. Best known for pioneering some of the most demanding open-water swims on Earth, Ryan has completed challenges in environments ranging from Antarctica’s freezing waters to remote ocean crossings where success is never guaranteed. Most recently, he became the fastest person in history to circumnavigate the extremely remote and wild waters of St Helena Island by completing the 48-kilometre / 30-mile distance in just under 17 hours. Solo and unassisted. Drawing on these extraordinary experiences, Ryan delivers powerful and highly practical insights into how individuals and teams perform under pressure, navigate uncertainty, and achieve ambitious goals. His message goes far beyond endurance sport, providing audiences with actionable strategies for leadership, adaptability, accountability, teamwork, and sustained high performance. Ryan has inspired audiences across the globe, including the largest financial services organisations, Fortune 500 companies, leadership groups, entrepreneurs, and professional associations. His engaging storytelling, humour, and authentic delivery leave audiences challenged to rethink what they believe is possible and equipped to perform at a higher level in both their professional and personal lives.
