The Room - First meeting!
About the event
The Room: chronic illness peer meetup for English speakers in Vienna
A small, in-person gathering for people who live with a chronic or invisible illness and speak English in Vienna.
No talks, no slides, no networking. Just a room where you don't have to explain yourself first.
I'm Roi. I live with a chronic illness too, and I moved here without a place like this. I've written some books about living with illness and spent years speaking about it. This is different. It's one room where nobody performs. The books stay out of it, and nothing is sold here.
We sit, we talk, or we don't. You can come for ten minutes and leave. You can come on a bad day and say nothing. Nobody asks what you do or why you're here.
What's said in the room stays in the room. No advice unless someone asks.
Please note: This is a free peer gathering. It is not therapy, counseling, coaching, or medical advice, and I'm not a substitute for your doctors or therapist. If you're in crisis, please contact a professional or an emergency service.
If you're not sure you belong, you probably do.
