About the event
**Gary Numan** Synth legend returns to the stage in our city. He entered the music industry as frontman of the NEW WAVE band Tubeway Army with their No. 1 hit single "Are Friends Electric?". After fallout started solo carrier and instantly produced another UK No. 1 single with "Cars". Although his commercial popularity peaked in the late 1970s and early 1980s, he has maintained a strong CULT following ever since selling over 10 million records. Touring regularly visited Amsterdam several times already. I've seen & heard him few years back in Melkweg. Numan is regarded as one of absolute pioneers of electronic music and very unique one with his darkest industrial post-punk dystopian soundscapes. He developed a signature sound consisting of heavy synthesizer hooks fed through pedal guitar effects and easily recognizable for his distinctive voice and androgynous "android" persona popularized globally just few years earlier by David Bowie. A "must be there at least once" for every serious el-music fan.
