[Reading Group] AI 2040 – A concrete plan for a positive AI future

You may have heard of the AI 2027 prediction, released last year by a team of forecasters (The AI Futures Project). In the year since, they have written a new document, this time outlining a positive vision for how humanity can handle the development of AI well, a Plan A.

After discussing a real example of powerful AI systems not behaving as we want them to at our last event, this discussion will instead focus on what steps we can and should take now to make the systems of tomorrow controllable and aligned with human values.
