We’re officially launching Black Kayakers of the DMV—a community created to bring Black outdoor enthusiasts together to experience the water, explore the DMV, meet new people, and build community along the way.
And what better way to kick things off than with our FIRST GROUP PADDLE! 🛶✨

The schedule is flexible, so feel free to paddle at your own pace!

Whether you’re an experienced paddler or stepping into a kayak for the first time, you’re welcome to join us. Come solo, bring a friend, or meet your future kayaking crew!

Kayak rental is not included with the Meetup RSVP.
Each participant is responsible for reserving and paying for their own kayak directly through Thompson Boat Center/Boating in DC.

Current rental price: $24/hour for a single kayak. Double kayaks are also available at a higher rate, subject to availability.

The fun doesn’t have to end when we leave the water!
For those who want to keep the vibes going, we’ll head to a nearby restaurant/bar for food, drinks, and more conversation after the paddle. 🍹🍴
